More Than a Church

A Welcoming Church in Waterville, Maine

The Second Baptist Church of Waterville was established in 1873 as a mission of the First Baptist Church and as a part of the French Baptists of New England. During the late 1800s, the church enjoyed a period of tremendous growth. In 1951, the First Baptist Church presented the title of the first deed of the main church to the United Baptist Convention of Maine to the Second Baptist Church.

Today, we are rooted in the stories of the Bible and believe worship is something that can be expressed in everything we do. Our philosophy is founded on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. No matter who you are, there’s a special place for you at our church. Get in touch today or come and visit us in person.
